Mr. Ray Clifford Poore, age 92, of Harrogate, TN was born on January 22, 1928 in Claiborne County and passed away on April 12, 2020 at Claiborne County Hospital. He was a member of Mayes Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Pump Springs Baptist Church for 68 years. Ray was a US Army Veteran during the Korean War. He worked at Signal Knitting Mill, Claiborne Textile and Coffey Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Lula Poore; wife, Ruby Brooks Poore; brothers, Joe Poore, Alvis Poore and Beverly Poore; sisters, Zelphia Hill, Sudie Churchill and Gladys Ferguson.
He is survived by his Son: Troy Ray and wife Floydeann Poore of Harrogate, TN;
Grandchildren: Adam (Christie) Poore of Huntsville, AL
Tiffany (Seth) Oakes of Louisville, TN;
Jonathan Poore of Johnson City, TN;
Two very special Great Grandchildren: Ruby Frances Poore and Robert Evan Oakes;
His sister: Nevada Hypes;
Sister-in-law: Lorena Poore;
Brother-in-law: Olen (Sue) Brooks;
He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends on Thursday April 16, 2020 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel, Harrogate from 1:00 until 6:00 P.M. A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday April 17, 2020 at Riverview Cemetery.
