John Russell

Mr. John Russell age 73 of New Tazewell, TN was born March 17, 1940 and passed away April 2, 2013 at his home with his loving family. He was saved at an early age at Locust Grove Church and was a Member and Deacon of MCM Missionary Baptist Church for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his Parents, McKinley & Eliza Jane Duncan Russell; Brothers, Nolan Russell, Kurt Russell, Ulyss Russell, Claude Russell and Bill Russell; Sisters, Beulah McGeorge, Maude Austin and Granddaughters, Jessica Russell and Nikki Brewer. He was an avid fisherman and a very skilled mechanic who could fix most anything. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed attending church which was foremost in his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years: Ellen Russell

Grandchildren: Ashley Russell Welch, Brad Russell, Shannon Russell Holt, Jordan Brewer, Keleigh Russell, Kaden Russell

The family will receive friends from 5 until 9 p.m. Thursday April 4, 2013 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Funeral service 11:00 A.M. Friday April 5, 2013 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Shoemaker Cemetery.
