James Otto Pendleton, age 74, went to be with his Lord October 20, 2018 at Claiborne County Hospital. He was born April 17, 1944 to the late Otto and Dorothy Pendleton. James was saved at an early age and continued to profess his faith through out his life as a member at Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro, KY. James will be remembered by his profound love for life, family, friends and his funny nicknames he had for everyone! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sue Pendleton and Brenda Darnell.
His survivors include: Brothers, Glen Pendleton of Harrogate, TN.
Delbert (Nancy) Pendleton.
Children: Tabitha, Kelly and Caleb all of Tazewell, TN.
Darrell (Kathy) Pendleton and children Mathew and Michael of Harrogate. TN.
Gary (Barb) Pendleton & children Shannon, Gary, JR and Jeremy of Monroe, Michigan.
Brother-in-law: Dennis (Brenda) Darnell and children Brian and Jeff Pendleton of New Tazewell, TN.
Nephews: Tommy and Larry Pendleton.
Niece: Robin (Doug) Capps and children Austin (Cassidy) Capps, Kourtney (Timothy) Powers, Monica (Matthew) Leake.
Special Great Nieces and Nephews: Ayden and Chloe Capps and Aubrey Powers.
The family wish to say a special Thank You to the staff at Tri-State Nursing Home & Rehab. Center for the wonderful care given to James. He loved all of the people he met, both staff and other residents.
Services will be Tuesday October 23, 2018 AT 1:00 p.m. in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Harrogate, TN. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Coffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Pendleton Cemetery in Hancock County, TN.
Minister: Rev. William Boyd Bingham.
Pallbearers: Tommy Pendleton, Matthew Pendleton, Steve Pendleton, Adam Pendleton. Larry Pendleton, Brian Pendleton, Jeff Pendleton, Delbert Pendleton, Mitch Ellis and Austin Capps.
