Victor Janosec

Victor Joe Janosec passed away February 15, 2017, he was born on February 24, 1931 to Josef Janosec and Franciscka Doubrava of Rice’s Crossing. Victor was baptized at St Mary’s Catholic Church, he attended school at Rice’s Crossing and Taylor High School.

Victor and his sister Georgie picked cotton at a young age working for the Rice’s Crossing Gin. He spent several years in the Air Force and later worked for Brewster TV in Taylor and worked on juke boxes for an Austin Phonograph Company, he also managed Schlitz Distributing in Taylor and finally retired from owning his own Daycare business in Taylor. Victor married Joy Leschber in 1968.

After retiring Victor’s time was devoted to his great grandchildren Ryan and Riece Talley. He also enjoyed dancing and hunting.

Victor is survived by his children; Bobby Janosec, Pam and Tom Kinsey, Mike and Deanna Leschber, Cindy and Ronnie Patrick, sister; Georgie McCurry, grandchildren Jordan and Paula Talley and their sons Ryan and Reice, Terry and Vicky Laurence, Sean and Cassie Leschber, Michael and Melissa Forcier, Chad and Eva Steinbach, Barry and Kerri Dickey, Kelly and Julie Patrick, Ricky and Jennifer Linnabery, Michael and Jenivie Leschber, Mitch and Carly Leschber, niece: Marcie Teaque and family, nephew Scott Mokry, cousin Allen Doubrava plus numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday February 19, 2017 at 2pm at Condra Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
