Jacob’s friendships were a bond from the start, a gift of a lifetime. He was highly respected by his peers, friends, teammates, colleagues, family and mostly the children. He became a legend as a young child, Jake was a champion in life, and his high demand for perfection led him to be the man he exuded in everyday life.
Jake was a leader, a mentor, a force of nature. His glory days extended across the state on and off the football fields. Jake’s desire was to create an organization where you gave back to the community and players. “Untouchable Flag Football” was founded in 2013, in hopes of creating a more family and friendly atmosphere. Jake hosted many tournaments giving cash and prizes; he participated in giving Toys for Tots and other charities.
Professionally Jake was an Owner/independent contractor specializing in custom flooring and restoration, his skill can be credited to his determination of pride and perfection, he was a master of his craft. Jake was well known across the state for his skills.
Jacob was very special and dear to us all. We can all agree he was the most adorable baby who always seemed to be glowing and smiling, which brought so much happiness to our hearts. We watched him grow up into a lovely child and young man. Jake will never be forgotten, he is just beginning a new journey “Jake, We Love You!”
Jacob leaves behind his loving parents Michael and Tammy Madrid of Round Rock, TX; Grandparents Lily and Tony Gomez; Grandfather Jack Jackson; Great Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Jackson; Godparent Barbara Moore. He also leaves behind his brother, Blake Madrid; sisters Jennifer Goucher and husband Chris; Tiffany Welch and husband Stephen; and Cindy Marquez and husband Chris. Also left behind are numerous nieces and nephews who he adored and loved like his own, Elijah, Angel, Jayden, Caleb, Alexia, Leanna, Christina, Dale, Noah, Nathan, Michael, Aaliyah, and Leonardo. Aunts and Uncles left behind include; Nicky and Melissa Madrid; Cindy and Dale Sleppy; Marcia and Kevin Brandt; Marse and London Madrid; Michelle and Kenneth Selman; Felix Madrid; Chris Madrid. Cousins who Jake thought of as brothers and sisters include; Chris, Brandon, Amanda, Adam, Tyler, Brandie, Kiowa, Olivia, Candi, Marcus, Jeffrey, Josh, Janet, Crystal, and Kaleo as well as their spouses and children who he loved as his very own; Efrain, Dorian, Lana, Pepper, Amelia, Avery, Axel, Alyssa, Anna, Grace, Aaron S., Jaxon, Aaron C., Kalea, Nelina, Audrina, Cole, Madison, Hayden, Julius, and Jocelyn.
Jake is preceded in death by his grandfather Marselino Madrid in 2013 and his godfather Tommy Moore in 2010.
Pallbearers were Michael Madrid, Blake Madrid, Chris Brandt, Kevin Brandt, Marselino Madrid, and Chris Madrid. Honorary Pallbearers were Jamie “Lucky” Urias, Nicky Madrid, Felix Madrid, Brandon Brandt, Adam Cooley, Tyler Cooley, Joshua Craigo, and Nick Urias
