Melvin Wentrcek

Agriculture was Melvin’s life-long passion. He loved farming, John Deere tractors and raising show hogs. He was especially partial to raising wheat and corn on his farm in Granger. He married later in life and enjoyed travelling the world with his friends and beloved wife he called “Annie.” His favorite trip was an African safari where he enjoyed meeting and talking with the children and local farmers there. He was a devoted volunteer each year for the live nativity and vacation bible school. Melvin will fondly be remembered for his love of his grandchildren, bacon, sausage, and Whittington’s beef jerky.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Wentrcek; his step-children, Adam and Monica Mehevec and Randy and Stacy Skrhak; his step-grandchildren, Dylan, Luke, Gracie, and Bailey; and his nephew, Larry David and wife Vivian.

Visitation will be held from 2pm -3pm at 1st Baptist Church in Taylor on Sunday February 17, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 3pm at the 1st Baptist Church in Taylor on Sunday February 17, 2019.
