Mary E. Urbanek Gola

Mary was born in Taylor Texas on December 8, 1921 to Anton and Millie (Vitek) Urbanek. She was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and worked at the SPJST Nursing Home until 2006. Mary loved to cook and always made sure that anyone visiting her home would share a meal. She was well known for her kolaches, Thanksgiving dressing, and baked goods. She spent her life caring for others and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Joe Gola, her parents, three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by four sons Joseph Gola (Dorothy), Thomas Gola (BJ), Marvin Gola (Brenda), Bob Gola (Kim), and two daughters Pat Reinhardt (David) and Kathy Alford (David), fifteen grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren and one brother Anthony Urbanek of New Jersey.

Visitation will be Friday September 9, 2016 at the Condra Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with Rosary service at 7:00pm.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday September 10, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr Lonnie Urban officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Greg Gola, Anthony Gola, Brett Gola, Kevin Reinhardt, Mark Gola, and Trenton Alford. Honorary pallbearers are Steven Gola, David Gola, Ryan Gola, Adam Gola, Matthew Gola, Katelyn Schwarz, Shawn Reinhardt, Lori Suchomel, and Tiffany Alford.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Baylor Scott and White Round Rock. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or the St. Mary’s Catholic School.
