Marie W Davis

Marie was born in Taylor, Texas on July 27, 1944 to the late Christian Frederick Wolf and Jesse Louise Baumbach Wolf. She graduated from Pflugerville High School in 1962 and continued on to receive an Associate Degree in Accounting from St. Philip's College in San Antonio, Texas. She married Howard Davis on June 18, 1965; they were married for 41 years when Howard preceded her in death.

Marie worked in the business office at the Austin Diagnostic Clinic for many years and prior to that as an insurance underwriter at Northwestern National Insurance Company. While her children were young, Marie was an Army housewife. Marie enjoyed crochet, baking, travel and musicals. She especially loved visiting Galveston, Texas.

She participated in Pflugerville CItizens on Patrol, advocated with the Alzheimer’s Association and was very active at Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was a lifetime member, serving in the Food Pantry and Backpack Ministries and participated in bible study and women’s ministries.

Marie is survived by her children, daughter Deanna of Pflugerville, Texas, son and son-in-law, Daniel Davis and James Zamzow of Dallas, Texas, brother Donald and wife Betty Wolf of Austin, Texas, bother Robert and Wife Donna Wolf of Fredericksburg, Texas, nieces Melody and husband Bill Thompson of Round Rock, Texas, Marci and husband Wendel Sundbeck of Lakeway, Texas, Whitney and husband David Ohendalski of College Station, Texas, Schandra and husband Matt Brock of Round Rock, Texas and nephew Ryan Wolf and other family and friends.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents Christian Wolf and Jesse Louise Wolf, and husband Howard Davis.

Honorary pallbearers are Donald and Betty Wolf and Robert and Donna Wolf. Ryan Wolf, Matt Brock, Hunter Sundbeck, Connor Sundbeck, Adam Downey and David Ohendalski will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you consider making a memorial donation in Marie’s honor to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
