Margie Ann Hardin

Margie W. Hardin passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in Austin, Texas. She was born in 1933 to Harry and Ruth Welch in Margaret, Texas. She grew up in Taylor, Texas graduating from Taylor High School in 1950. She married Edgar Pope Hardin of Granger Texas in 1954. She worked in Austin for the Texas Department of Public Safety in the Insurance Office until her retirement in 1995.

Margie is survived by 3 children - Theresa Crawford of Round Rock, Texas; Theran and Jerry Crooks of Pflugerville, Texas; and Ed and Sharon Hardin of Puyallup, Washington; 5 grandchildren - Michael Wesley Sanders of Dallas, Texas; Michelle and Roy Champion of Georgetown, Texas; Christina Hardin of Austin, Texas; Nicholas Hardin of Pflugerville; and Lori and Richard Hughes of Hutto, Texas; 5 great-grandchildren – Hunter Sanders, Matthew Bailey, Christian Hardin, Cody Champion, and baby Hughes; 1 sister – Dorothy and Bert Haney of Rockport, Texas; and 1 sister-in-law – Agnes Sides of Granger, Texas.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Pope Hardin; her mother, Elizabeth Ruth Welch; her father, Harry Welch; and her sister, Jo Helen Leschber.

Condra Funderal Home in Taylor is in charge of arrangements. Viewing will be Sunday, December 18, 2011 after 10:00 a.m. with services at the Condra Funeral Home that afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Graveside internment following at the Bartlett Cemetery.
