Sunday Morning March 23, 2025 from the Will-O-Bell Nursing Facility in Bartlett Texas.
Margaret “Margie” was born to Vincent S Urbanek and Maria Katherine “Mary” K Havelka in the
Noack Community near Taylor, Texas on 29 August 1935. Margie had been a member of St.
Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church for her whole life and and served with the Catholic
Daughters and other groups. She also worked for SPJST Rest Home in Taylor, Texas for many
years assisting staff and residents with her gentle spirit.
Margie is fondly remembered by her nephews and nieces for enjoying playing dominoes and
games, eating kolaches, and her beautiful sewing. She also loved to draw and prepare artwork.
We loved her divine “Orange Fluff Jello” dessert that she prepared and brought to special
occasions and holiday feasts. She assisted her sewing buddy, MoMo, on designing and sewing
many quilts. Even though she had a severe hearing impediment, she was a very good reader
and often wrote letters to her family and friends detailing the bright spots from the Taylor area.
She was cheerful and self-sufficient lady. She is recognized as being a generous humble
servant and she touched everyone with her kindness and gentleness to her family and friends.
Margie is survived by her sister-in-law Mary L Urbanek of Elm Mott Texas. Aunt Margie is also
survived by her loving nephews and nieces: Charles T and Mary Lou Flink of Garden Ridge,
Texas, James and Kathy Urbanek of Crawford Texas, Cecil and Tena Woods of Edmond
Oklahoma. As a Great Aunt, she is also survived by grand nephews and grand nieces; Jennifer
Flink of San Antonio Texas, James and Danielle Flink with daughter Elsie of San Antonio Texas,
Sean and Carla O’Tormey of Lexington South Carolina, Jacoby Woods of Salt Lake City Utah,

China Springs Texas, Timothy Urbanek of Waco Texas, and many other cousins.
She is preceded in death and welcomed by her parents, sister Elsie Flink, brother-in-law
