He was born April 17th 1930 to Walter and Lena Tiemann of Taylor,Texas
Leon was a faithful long time member St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Taylor, TX for over 75 years.
He is preceded in death by his Wife of 62 Years Anita Tieman, Son, Michael Leon Tieman, Daughter, Sheryl Ann Tieman and Grandson, Charles Cole.
Survived by his siblings Brother, Olin Tiemann, Sister, Lillian Sister, Gloria and Husband Gary Hellman, Daughter-In-Law Kathy Slaughter and Husband Bobby. Grandson Wayne Psencik and wife Christina, Granddaughter Christine Test and Husband Tim, Grandson Kenneth Tieman, Granddaughter Joy Jackson and husband Brad, Granddaughter Kelsie Burkey and Grandson Caleb Slaughter. Leon was also blessed to see 8 Great-Grandchildren, Katlyn, Hailey, Sarah, Daniel, Makayla, Olivia, Paxton and Vivienne and had many nieces and nephews.
Leon loved his wife and family very much. He was a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to call him family or friend. He was Born in Taylor in 1930 to large family. His father was a farmer and carpenter and mother was a home maker. Leon was Baptized at Wuthrich Hill Church in 1930. He was confirmed in St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Taylor in 1944. Leon started working not long after for his father as a carpenter. He spent a few years honing his skills as a carpenter and in no time had a crew of men twice his age working for him. Leon loved to work and produce things, He spent most evenings tending to gardens, or picking up pecans in his orchard. He and his wife were vendors at the local farmers market for many years . Leon loved spending time his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and shared numerous laughs that will be cherished by his family for a lifetime.
A visitation for Leon will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Condra Funeral Home, Taylor, TX. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Taylor, TX.
Leon will be laid to rest in Taylor City Cemetery, Taylor, TX.
