LaVerda Jaecks

LaVerda Lena Jaecks, 92 passed from this life February 8, 2011 at 2:30 a.m. She was born December 22, 1918 to Max and Augusta (Braker) Roeske. After her mother’s death, she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Mary and Henry Meiske. On September 12, 1943, she was married to Hildren (Buddy) Jaecks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Louise Raymond.

She is survived by her loving family, sons, Charles Jaecks and wife, Gloria of Round Rock and Donald Jaecks of Taylor; granddaughters, Jeannette Scully and husband, Randy of Georgetown, Jennifer Gantt and husband, Spencer of Laguna Vista; five great grandchildren, Corey, Cailey and Cierra Scully, Tyler and Kylie Gantt; two nieces, Norma Lawrence of Victoria and Patricia Martin of San Antonio.

LaVerda loved cooking special dishes for her family. She was loved and respected by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 6 to 8 at Condra Funeral Home, 503 Talbot,Taylor,TX. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Wuthrich Hill at 2:30 p.m., Pastor Kerri Veit will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor City Cemetery.
