Judi Snyder

It is with a heavy heart, that the family of Judith Norene Snyder, announce that she passed away early Friday morning, April 23d, 2021. She was born on November 4th, 1942 in Norfolk, Nebraska. Having moved to Big Spring, TX during her teen years, she met a handsome US Air Force airman who became the love of her life and the two were married on September 23rd, 1963. She was more readily known as” Judi” to most; however, most adoringly “Mom” and “Grama”. Together, she and Jim had three children, the family of 5 began their lives together in northern Indiana before settling in Taylor, TX in 1976.

She was an accomplished bookkeeper by profession, having worked for retail businesses in downtown Taylor, eventually spending over 20 years with Condra Funeral Home. After her ‘retirement’, she went to work for her oldest son at his auto restoration shop. Some of her passions included sewing, cross-stich, cooking, being a great admirer of her grandchildren, and her dogs. A few of her notable projects include sewing her daughter’s wedding dress and personalized cross-stitched stockings for the grandchildren that adorned the hearth each Christmas.

Judi is survived by her brother Don Schlecht and wife Carol, brother Dean Pasold, children Jeff Snyder and wife Joanne Snyder, Jon Snyder and wife Julie Snyder, Jodi Snyder Hahn and husband Jason Hahn, grandchildren Jeremy Snyder and wife, Lauren Snyder; Jenna Snyder, Jordan Hahn, and James Hahn.

She will be greatly missed. She has joined the company of Heaven that includes her parents, loving husband, and many dear family members.

After a funeral service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor, she will be laid to rest in Taylor City Cemetery next to Jim. Services are provided by Condra Funeral home.
