Joyce M. Frerichs Vorwerk

Joyce M. (Frerichs) Vorwerk, of Taylor, completed her journey to heaven on May 12th 2013. Joyce was born to Louis M. Frerichs and Nellie Witte Frerichs in Taylor. On November 17th 1963 Joyce married Wilbert Vorwerk in Taylor.

In her early years she worked as a bookkeeper for Merrit Schafer & Brown, then at Lonestar Gas. She later taught at St. Mary’s School in Taylor. She loved to play bridge and cherished her time with her bridge groups and her friends in the Junior Women’s Study Club. She loved her faith and the church.

Bravely she faced cancer from 2007 until she entered her peace on Mother’s Day 2013.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Darren Kocs and his staff with Texas Oncology of Round Rock, they also would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the many friends who offered prayer and support.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, James William Vorwerk.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Wilbert Vorwerk; child, Michelle M. Stephen J. Vorwerk; grandchildren Cody James Vorwerk and Katey (Katherine) Elaine Vorwerk. She is also survived by Jennifer Bryan.
