Jack Williamson was born on December 21, 1969 died November 22, 2024 with profound sadness, I share the passing of Jack Williamson, beloved son, brother, husband, father, friend, and Papa. Jack, as all of us fondly remember, was the humor and life in all adventures that he was on. He was the life of the party and the light of our family. Jack fought the good fight against cancer for eight years. He sadly passed surrounded by family and loved ones on November 22, 2024, at 8:10 pm. His loving wife Linda was there by his side daily, loving and guiding him towards forgiveness and peace. Jack was recently baptized on July 23, 2024, accepting the Lord as his savior. Linda was his angel, and she showed him absolute peace and love. Linda was his blessing and the ultimate love of his life.
Jack was born to Kenneth and Mary Williamson on December 21, 1969, in Odessa, TX. His little brother Steve, Jack’s co-pilot and partner in all crimes throughout his life, was born in 1973. Jack was fiercely protective of Steve and taught him everything he knew. He was Steve's mentor and hero. These two were always together and getting into all kinds of trouble. He began his incredible journey as a young man at Rush Elementary in Lubbock. The family briefly moved on to Shallowater, Texas, and then to Aurora, Colorado, in 1979. Jack went on to Mracheck Middle School and then to Rangeview High School. Finally, he landed at UTI in Houston, TX, to study and become a mechanic. If you had a vehicle issue or question, Jack was your guy. They eventually landed in Texas and settled in Pflugerville, Texas, where the family has remained in the same home. He had his first and only daughter, Mikala Rae Williamson, on June 17, 1996, with Michelle, his first wife. He welcomed his second child and only son, Peyton Andrew Williamson, on May 8, 2000, with Landria, his second wife. Jack loved his kids and spent most of his days in the younger years enjoying them and watching them grow. He was a wonderful father, and it shows in both of them now as they are extensions of his humor and fun personality.
As he progressed through life, he found a love for motorcycles and comradery. Jack joined the motorcycle club Tornados in 2004, where he found lifelong friends and brothers, and of course, his younger brother Steve was there by his side in the club. They enjoyed many years together, enjoying riding and friendship. And quite a few shenanigans along the way. These amazing brothers were there the day he passed, standing watch on the family. They are deeply loved for this. He then went on to the Campaneros in 2008. Later on, after the motorcycle days, he immersed himself in his son and his passions. Peyton got into FFA in High School, where Jack became active and helpful in his journey. They spent their time showing pigs and working on welding projects for Peyton’s class. Peyton became passionate about welding and moved in with his dad while in welding school. This made for some very memorable years for the two of them. Jack also became very passionate about hunting during this time. Ken, Jack, and Steve got a deer lease, during which they spent endless years making memories and creating the ultimate hunting spot. The stories there are endless; yes, you can imagine how funny they were. They still have the lease to this day, which Steve intends to keep in the family and continue the memories.
In February 2019, Jack connected with his love, Linda. They experienced multiple adventures and shared their passion for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were where they found peace and happiness together. They purchased a camper and boat and became park hosts at Wilson H. Fox Park on Granger Lake. Here, Jack enjoyed some of his best years. They made several lifelong friends there. He was blessed and so incredibly happy during those last years. It is due to his loving wife Linda and his son Peyton by his side. He was over the moon when Peyton made him a Papa with Levi Andrew Williamson on September 26, 2023. This was his greatest accomplishment and something he always talked about. In the end, that was Jack’s true happiness, family.
Jack was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Ladelle Williamson and Jack and Francis Bell. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth Williamson and Mary Williamson; his loving wife, Linda Giesen Williamson; his children Mikala Williamson and Peyton Williamson; his fiancé Reagan Lebreche and their son Levi; and his brother Steve Williamson and wife Trisha; their children Samantha Williamson, Jamie (Ron) Fontenot, and Tristan Shannon; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as so many dear friends who were his family. He was dearly loved and will be very missed.
A visitation for Jack will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Condra Funeral Home, Taylor, TX, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Jack will be laid to rest in Machu Cemetery, Granger, TX.
