Jerry was born at home on August 15, 1925, to the late Cecelia and Albert Becker. She graduated from St. Mary’s School as Valedictorian. She married Eugene Wilkins on March 21, 1998; they were married for 17 years.
Jerry worked as an Accountant for Brown & Root at Lake Bastrop and for the Texas Department of Public Safety, State Board of Vocational Nursing and TX Comptroller’s Office, from which she retired. She enjoyed sewing, birdwatching, quilting, traveling and being a tour guide for Clark Travel for many years, playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and caring for her lovely yard. She was also involved as a Director in the Williamson County Old Settlers Association, Beta Sigma Phi and the Bastrop Senior Center.
Jerry is survived by her daughters, Renee Moore and husband, Randy, of Bastrop and Shana Pokorny and husband, David of Austin, grandchildren Pat Hanna and wife, Melissa, of Bastrop, Michele Evans and husband, Richey, of Austin, Gina Drury and husband, Matt, of Leander and Melanie Clark. She dearly loved her Great Grandchildren, Tanner and Aubrie Hanna, Kalee and Scarlett Moore and Sawyer Drury. Also surviving are her nieces and nephew, Philip Greenlees, Pamela Hammers and Sandra Greenlee, as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Jerry is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Wilkins, parents, Albert and Cecelia Becker, sister, Dorothy Rosenberg, and brothers Albert Becker, Jr. and Cecil Becker and first husband, Harold Farley.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 27th from 6pm-8pm at Condra Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday April 28th at 11:15am at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Philip Greenlees and the Directors of the Williamson County Old Settlers Association. David Pokorny, Randy Moore, Pat Hanna, Matt Drury, Tanner Hanna and Richey Evans will serve as pallbearers.
Flowers are appreciated, however if you wish to make a memorial donation, please do so in Jerry’s honor to the St. Mary’s School in Taylor.
