Dorothy was born in Taylor, Texas, on September 22, 1926, to the late Joe J. Stiba and Mary Sawey Stiba. She married Robert Edward Bice on November 22, 1943, and they were married for 47 years. She spoke often of their times in West Virginia while Robert served in the military and she worked in a grocery store on base. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church, Taylor, Texas. She is survived by her son, Bobby Bice (wife, Marcel), and daughter, Dorothy Cantrell; grandchildren, James Bice (wife, Mildred), Troy Bice (wife, Amanda), Emily Ehrlich (husband, Gary), Nikki Brinson (husband, Brent), and Mark Cantrell; greatgrandchildren, Blake, Jesse, Everly, T.J. Catherine, Justin, Hailee, Ryder, Mariah (Ernesto), Dustin (Chelsey), Chelsi (Bryan) and Collin (Alexis); great greatgrandchildren, Addisyn, Kaisyn, Easton, Carter and Hannah; her loyal guard dog, Tyler; and many, many adopted grandchildren from her 50 plus years of so beautifully caring for, teaching and praying with children at the daycare in Taylor with her daughter, Dorothy.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, sisters Mary, Julie and Birdie, son, James, and his wife, Diann, son-in-law, Tony, and grandson, Heath.
Pallbearers are Mark Cantrell, Brent Brinson, Dustin Brinson, Collin Brinson, Bryan Tull, James Bice, and Troy Bice, and honorary pallbearer is Bobby Bice.
Dorothy’s family wishes to thank her caregivers at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, Texas, for their loving care.
