Diego Oviedo

Diego Oviedo, Sr., 86, of Taylor, Texas passed away peacefully with family surrounding him on September 8, 2023. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 12, 2023 with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Condra Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Taylor.

Diego was born on November 13, 1936 to the late Enrique and Cresencia (Hernandez)

Oviedo. He married Regina Torres on April 4, 1964 and they were married for 59 years.

Aside from his love for fishing, NASCAR and football, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enrique and Cresencia Oviedo; his son, Diego Oviedo Jr.; a brother, Lorenzo Oviedo Sr.; his sisters, Leonor Lopez and Lorene Garcia.

Diego is survived by his wife, Regina Oviedo of Taylor; daughters, Diane Blomquist and husband Keith of Taylor, Denise Oviedo of Lubbock; grandchildren Sydni Oviedo-Blomquist, Jacob Oviedo-Blomquist, and Caleb Oviedo-Blomquist, and numerous sisters in law and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, Godchildren and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Oviedo, Lorenzo Oviedo, Jr., Arthur Oviedo, Valentino Reyes, III, Carlos Reyes, Miguel Watson, Adrian Watson and Louie Torres.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you consider making a memorial donation in Diego’s honor to Meals on Wheels of Williamson County or Baylor Scott & White Hospice.
