Betty was born December 13, 1915 on a farm near Granger, the daughter of Joe F. Kaderka and Julia Tomecek Kaderka.
She attended school at the old Palacky schoolhouse west of Granger. Later she attended Temple College where she received her certification as a medication aide.
Betty first worked at the old Fox Nursing Home in Granger, and she worked for Bluebonnet Nursing Center (now Granger Villa) for many years until she retired.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many as well as an avid homemaker and seamstress. An exceptional cook, Betty was known for her wonderful kolaches and homemade noodles. No one left her house hungry. Her sweet smile, gentle nature and quick wit endeared her to all.
Betty married Alfonse Stojanik, and spent 69 wonderful years together. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Alfonse, a son Ted, her brother J.B. Kaderka, her sisters Georgie Grossman, Josephine Martinka, Marcella Zrubek and a grandson, Nicholas.
Survivors include her sons Leonard and Howard (wife Anna Marie); daughters Barbara Urbanek (husband Karl Blomquist), Sandra Faltesek (husband Alvin), 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Sunday March 23rd 2014 from 6-8pm at Condra Funeral Home, with a Rosary service taking place at 7pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday March 24th 2014 at 10am at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church of Granger with Father Stephen Nesrsta as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery of Granger.
We thank God for such a special lady, who during her long and wonderful life was a blessing to all who knew her and made many people happy.
