Ms. Yvonne Zambito Posey

POSEY, Yvonne Zambito, 74, entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2014. She was born in Tampa, Florida. She grew up in historical Ybor City and remained a Tampa native throughout her life. Yvonne lived her life for her family. Her daughters and granddaughters were her pride and joy. She dedicated her life to caring for family members, many who preceded her in death: her father, Santo Zambito; her mother, Vera Emmel; her sister, Yolanda Hughes and her brother-in-law, Harold Hughes. Yvonne is survived by her daughters, Sebrina Posey and Sherri Head; her son-in-law, David Head; her granddaughters, Lauren Head and Savannah Head, her nephew, Jason Hughes and Yvonne’s fiancé, Stephen Blischke. She was a member of the Florida Realtors working as a Broker/Owner of Prime Properties of Tampa Bay. She also worked for many years for Posey Batteries and was a fundraiser for March of Dimes. Yvonne’s passing was an unfortunate shock and she will be deeply missed by all. Yvonne was recognized for her passionate, fun-loving spirit. Her smile would always light up a room while also warming hearts. Yvonne had a strong faith in her Lord and savior throughout her life. She is now in Heaven walking as an angel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Carrollwood Chapel of Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa, FL 33618. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the funeral home with interment immediately following at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa, FL. Donations may be made in Yvonne’s name to the March of Dimes, Amazing Love Ministries or the Disabled American Veterans.
