Andy and I go back quite a ways and I always enjoyed our times together, working at Vitek/bioMerieux, shooting skeet, Field Service meetings, or just coming out to the house when he came to St. Louis. We'll miss him a lot! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Ellie,I was so sad to hear of Andys passing. He was the best. Andy and I were hired the same day and did all our Vitek training together. I treasure the memories of our Vitek family,Tom K,Ed Vann ,Mike and Dan Smith are often in my thoughts. To Andy's family:  I'm so sorry to hear of Andy's passing.  I knew Andy professionally and knew he was very much looking forward to his retired life.  We spent some time joking during his service and repair appointments at Tampa General.  He also enjoyed talking about his family.  Just a week ago I was speaking with a molecular testing account executive who had also worked with Andy in the past.  We were talking about people we both knew, and I was saying to him that I wished I had kept in touch with Andy.  Just yesterday the rep emailed me with the sad news.  I hope Andy had a chance to enjoy his retirement, however brief.

Ellie and Family, Barry and I are so sorry to hear about Andy's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We will cherish the wonderful memories made with Andy and our "skeet family."

Andy was such a great guy.  Worked with him at bioMerieux for about 7 years, and am glad to say we became even better friends over the years than work colleagues.  We shared a love of cars, and he would come down to Sebring to watch me drive my race car.... one time, it broke down by 10am, about the time that he arrived, and I jokingly said, "well, if I'm going to be on the track today, it's going to have to be driving your Porsche."  A little while later he said, "That's OK by me, if it's OK with you."  And away we went, ripping off hot laps in his car at Sebring, which I know he loved, especially when he would give me the "thumbs up" when we would hit about 140mph in the back straight.  I could see his big ole grin, even though he was wearing a helmet.  I'll miss him.  Blessings on the entire Cook family.  David Pasik

Ellie, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Lorraine and I are so very sorry for Andy's passing. One of my most prized possessions was Andy's friendship for the past almost 40 years. I was honored to work with Andy in both the military and Vitek Systems/bioMerieux, where he was highly respected by customers and coworkers alike.  Any time I had a complex problem and needed assistance Andy was the go to guy.  Andy never failed to ask about my family when we spoke and loved talking about his family. 
Again, we are deeply sorry and saddened by Andy's passing.
