William Buchinsky

William Walter Buchinsky, 81, died Monday, 25 Apr 2016, at his home following a brief illness. Born and raised in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Walter and Rose (Kosack) Buchinsky. After graduating from high school, "Ski" enlisted in the United States Air Force. He traveled the world with tours in Wyoming, South Korea, Thailand, Italy, North Dakota, Guam, and he finished his career in 1975, at MacDill AFB Florida. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Ski began his second career in the Civil Service. He had multiple jobs during his time in Civil Service and he retired again in September, 2006. Ski spent 52 years in service to his country. He loved golf, his dogs, and people. He leaves his son, Anthony; his grandson, Jason; his niece, Marlene Opanel; and many close friends. Visitation will be Monday May 2 from 5-7pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S MacDill Ave., Tampa. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tues May 3 at 10am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 4518 Manhattan Ave.,Tampa. Interment with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. ___________________________________________________________________________
