Willa Jenkins was called home on Saturday October 24, after a brief stay in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. She was greeted at the heavenly gates by her husband Fred, son John, daughter Willa Marie, her parents George and Gertrude, her brother Jim Boettcher, and many other beloved. She is survived by: sons Fred Jenkins (spouse, Susan Haines) and Jim Jenkins (spouse, Linda Jenkins); grandchildren Kimberly Mitchell (spouse, Steve Mitchell), Caitlin Jenkins, Taylor Jenkins, Josh Jenkins; great-grandson, David Croft; brothers Jack Boettcher (Spouse, Carla Boettcher), Carl Boettcher (Spouse, Susie Boettcher); and many treasured nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. A memorial service to celebrate Willa’s life will be held on Sunday, November 1, at 12:30 PM at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church at 304 Druid Hills Rd. Temple Terrace, FL 33617. A reception will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Buffet lunch will be served and generous time allowed for sharing memories of Willa. A public viewing at Garden of Memories (4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610) will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, November 2. Immediately following the viewing there will be a brief graveside service and interment in Garden of Memories cemetery.
