Wesley Andrew Owen 27, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2015 while vacationing with his family in Vail, Colorado. He was born March 8, 1987 in Ft. Benning, GA. He was the loving son of Edward and Elizabeth (Lizz) Owen of Lutz, FL; brother of Edison Owen; and grandson of Ronald and Helga Estep of Tampa, FL. He was a student of Health Sciences at the University of South Florida. He was committed to health, nutrition, and fitness. His greatest enjoyment was weight-lifting with his closest friend and mentor, Ricardo Kraus. He loved sports, fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, and snow-boarding in the beautiful Colorado mountains, he lovingly referred to as “God’s Country.” He was bright, very kind, and humble, with a passion for life. He dearly loved his family and friends and loved helping people. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa, FL. visitation will begin at 10 a.m.on Saturday, January 10, 2015 followed by a service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to “Buddy Baseball,” a non-profit recreational organization for boys and girls with special needs. www.buddybaseball.org
