I remember when we would visit for Christmas Bill would pick me up and he was tall and I would be all the way up to the ceiling it was scary for me as a little guy being up that high.  

Always had a smile. And what a smile!  Miss that dimpled grin.


We just want to share with the family that it was an honor to have known Bill for the short period of time that we did. We appreciate his service to our nation, and sharing his family with us at the Y. To Larry and Joyce, we send all our love to you and the rest of your family.

Bill was a joy to be around. His presence at the YMCA will truly be missed. Bill, thanks for all the talks and wonderful memories you gave me. I true gentleman and friend. Rest In Peace my friend. 

Bill was always upbeat and pleasant. Very good at including others in conversations. Enjoyed his grandkids and loved having them around. He could fix anything with two part epoxy. Loved his children and anyone they had in their life he brought into his embrace. I am all the luckier to have known him. Rest in peace Bill. 



Bill was very involved in the activities of the Dining center.  His sociable attitude and conversations were a natural part of his demeanor.  He was a pleasure to have in the program and he sought to add value to our program by participating in Advisory Council and providing input on things that he thought could be beneficial to all. I was so glad I was able to visit and see him and everyone, it had been  far to long I had plans to come back and visit in the winter, I enjoyed listening to his stories of WWII, he was proud to have been a Marine, and his life in Ohio and how he came about moving to Tampa.  He told me he was at the hospital in Oak Hill when I was born.  My heart goes out to everyone.
