Hobson, Tracy E., 90, of Tampa, FL passed away on September 28, 2017. Mr. Hobson was born in Westfield, Indiana and grew up in Bradenton, Florida. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served in WW II. After the war, he attended Florida Southern College and the University of Florida obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry. He worked for Robbin’s Lumber Company from 1952-2007. He was also past President of the Florida Forestry Association. He was a member of Lake Carroll Baptist Church for 64 years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking, stained glass and gardening. He also liked baseball and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Earlene; 3 sons, Ted (Nancy), Joe (Sharon) and Tom (Emily) and daughter, Tracy Shell (Donnie); 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 from 10-11am with a service to follow at the Lake Carroll Baptist Church, 12012 N Rome Ave, Tampa, Florida 33612. Interment is private at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
