Tom was born in Buffalo, NY to Marion Blackman Gohs and Robert John Gohs Jr on January 2nd, 1954. He married Susan Forbes on March 26th, 1977 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University in 1976 with a BS in Psychology. He worked as a District Sales Manager for Navistar, Caterpillar, and Key Bank for 34 years. Growing up, his family moved to Avon, CT where he spent his formative years and loved his time with the Avon Little League. They then moved to Norwell, MA where he continued playing baseball and worked at a local store. Lastly, he went to Finneytown High School in Cincinnati, OH where he excelled in baseball and basketball. Always a jokester, prankster, and up for anything. Above all Tom was selfless, generous, kind-hearted, loyal, humble, a dad-joke master, a friend to all, and beyond proud of his precious daughters and family.
He married Susan shortly after college graduation and they moved to Columbus, OH where Melissa was born. Shortly after Laura was born, his job took the family to Atlanta, GA for eight years and then to Danville, CA. His greatest joy in life was always his family. He spent most of his time with family playing board games, and cards, watching sporting events, music recitals, and anything that his kids and grandkids were involved in. He loved to play golf, ski, fish, go to sporting events, vacation, hike, play games of any kind, and re-watch the same classic 80s and 90s movies on the couch with his kids and a glass of red wine.
Tom is preceded in death by Robert Sr and Hilda Gohs (nee Schneider) Leon and Blanche Blackman, Robert Gohs Jr and Marion Gohs.
