Tom “TJ” Flanner died peacefully in Florida on June 23, 2023 with family by his side. Tom was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Following his service, he started Consumers Heating and Air Conditioning, becoming North Jersey’s go-to guy for reliable, expert service. Tom was known for his incredible work ethic and his problem-solving abilities.
Those who knew Tom knew that he had a great sense of humor. His joking could either get him in trouble or create an instant friend. Thankfully, those who knew Tom loved him for his ability to always make them laugh.
Upon retirement, Tom moved to Florida. He loved an adventure. Whether it was a ride on his motorcycle or boat, RV camping with his twin brother Lloyd, a trip to visit his family up North, or his latest adventure – Disney World with his grandchildren – Tom was ready to go. When he wasn’t on an adventure, Tom was golfing or looking for a rare prime rib with a piece of chocolate cake.
Tom was the proud father of Heather and Tommy, and loving grandfather to Cecilia and Joey. He leaves behind his siblings Linda, Larry, and Dean as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Deborah, and his twin brother Lloyd.
Celebrate Tom. Work hard, eat a Ring Ding, do something you love. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
