Terrell Blaine Scott

Terrell Blaine Scott, born on July 28, 1953, in Independence, Kansas, to the late Marcia and Charles Scott Jr., passed away on June 12, 2024 at the age of 70. Terrell and his beloved wife, Karen Koester Scott, were long-time residents of Lake Mary, Florida, where they lived for 36 years, and more recently residents of Riverview, Florida.

Terrell married Karen at St. Charles Catholic Church in College Park, Florida, on November 21, 1987. Married for 36 years, they enjoyed many years of happiness together.

Terrell had many things he enjoyed but nothing compared to his avid love of cars and motorcycles. He was a true enthusiast. His knowledge and love of automobiles was unmatched, making him a trusted source of information and the “go to guy” to all his friends and those in the community. His career spanned many areas of the automotive industry but sales was what he enjoyed the most. He loved to engage with everyone.

Terrell is survived by his wife, Karen Scott; their daughter, Erin Melear, and her husband, Kyle Melear; and his granddaughter, Gray. He also leaves behind his brother, Charles Scott and many friends who will forever cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents and mother and father-in-law, Joanne and Roy Koester.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Terrell will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Nativity Catholic Church, 705 E Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. Following the Mass there will be a committal service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Ave N, Clearwater, FL 33760.
