84. Prior to her residency in Tampa, FL. Teresa lived in Weare, NH for the past thirty-five years where she was a beloved and cherished member of the community and local church St.
Lawrence.
Teresa was born in Caswell Plantation, Maine on November 20, 1939, a daughter of Mary Alice (Minnehan) and George McCallan. Raised in Limestone, Maine, she was a graduate of Limestone High School with the class of 1957.
On June 15, 1963 she married the love of her life, David Geaney. During their 61 years of marriage, while David was enlisted in the United States Air Force, the couple resided in many states and countries as they raised their three children. She leaves her daughter Margaret (Geaney) Felkay (Robert) of McKeesport, PA, her son David Geaney (Stefanie) of Clarksville, MD and son Kevin Geaney (Lisa) of Wakefield, Massachusetts, sister Margaret Jones of Caswell, ME and brother Greg McCallan of Derry, NH. Teresa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother of nine and great grandmother of ten children. Teresa was a sister in Beta Sigma Phi since 1980 with sisters all over the world."
Teresa was "Nana" and "Mom" to everyone. She will always be fondly remembered for her contagious personality and willingness to talk to anyone. Her deepest passion was spending time with family and friends. Teresa always liked to talk to her kids into the wee hours of the night. She was a night owl and loved to laugh and joke around. She had a great sense of humor and could always look for the silver lining when things went wrong.
She was the most content when baking in the kitchen and surrounded by all the kids. It was not uncommon to find Dave and Teresa off on another road trip to visit with family members and friends. In addition to her love of family time, Teresa was an extremely talented artist. She spent countless hours painting Christmas ornaments and attending craft fairs. Her artwork proudly adorns many family Christmas trees in our homes.
Life is short and we should all follow Teresa's example of happiness.
Teresa will always be remembered for her unconditional love.
