Mitchell, Tarra (Fielland), 53 a lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida died on October 31, 2014. She was born on July 29, 1961 to Carl Fielland and Connie (Spoto) Walter. Predeceased by her mother Connie and step-father Jim Walter, she is survived by her husband George and their three sons James (Gabriella), Reid, and Mark, her father Carl and step-mother Rosalie (Alessi) Fielland, step brothers Robert Walter (Zan) and Jimmy Walter, and many beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was known for her big heart and warm smile. She lit up a room and was the life of the any party. She left an early career in nursing to raise her three sons and, together with her husband, became a small business owner and investor. She raised cattle and grew citrus on a family ranch in Manatee County, where she also kept rescued horses, pet chickens, and pigs. She loved the outdoors where she pursued passions such as fishing, scuba diving, and surfing. She played leagued tennis, where she was competitive but always friendly. She rode a Harley Davidson and was a member of the Diva Angels, Tampa Bay Chapter. Tarra gave generously to charity and preferred to do so with anonymity. She co-founded Opportunity to Play, a charitable foundation which supports churches, schools, sports leagues, youth camps, municipalities, and other entities that give children an opportunity to play. More importantly, she gave her time. Volunteering often and tirelessly to the many causes she supported. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 4, from 2-4pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave., Tampa, FL 33609.
