In Tampa, Florida on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, Sylvia Muñoz, 94, went home to her eternal resting place where she will come face to face with her mighty God, in which she had an unshakable faith in. She passed away quietly surrounded by family and friends.
Born on September 22, 1930, in Ybor City, Florida to Celio and Zenaida Rodriguez.
She lived an amazing life, paving the way for strong females in her midst to also become providers for their families. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and shared many smiles, laughs, and hugs with family and friends who will miss her deeply.
She leaves her son Gilbert Muñoz, his daughter Joyce Schenfield (Scott), grandchildren Anthony Fonseca (Allison), Nicholas Fonseca (Tracy), and Amanda Weigner (Jeff) along with great grandchildren Angelina, Jeyzenia, Maieli, Kayden, Arabella, Azalea, and Alaina. She is also survived by her niece Myra Espinosa and nephew Robert Munoz.
She is predeceased by her brother Celio Rodriguez (Junior) and her beloved late life soul mate, "Sparky".
Syliva managed the busiest 7-11 convenience stores in the Tampa Bay Area, and for saw the opening of many in the 1980's, where the only competitor was "Circle K".
Her favorite place to be with those who called her mom, Tata, Tía, & Madrina, as well as countless friends, and of course her beloved pet Sparky.
She loved God and is hand-in-hand with Him watching over us all now.
Sylvia may be gone from this earth, but she will never be forgotten. She was a bright and shining diamond, spreading God’s love as far and wide as possible.
As we lean not on our own understanding, we walk in faith, according to God’s Will, and trust with certainty that Sylvia has now been healed of all ailments and is winking down on us as, surely, upon gaining entrance into heaven, she has been reunited with Sparky and so many cherished loved ones.
We lift our family up in prayer as we are so grateful for the many years we had here on earth with our Tata. We ask our Heavenly Father to reveal to us our best next steps in celebrating Sylvia’s life. We will remember forever her smile, her laugh, her love for life, family, and friends, and her unparalleled talent to entertain all with whom she shared stories and memories.
