Steven Alan Dudley, 66, of Tampa, FL passed away on May 29, 2022 in a hospital in Clearwater, FL due to health complications following cancer. Steven was born in South Carolina as the first child of Steve S. Dudley and Helen Garrison Dudley. Steven was a graduate of the University of Virginia and a veteran of the United States Navy. As a retiree Steven spent his days taking care of his late wife, Maria F. Alaisa, as well as their beloved cats. Steven grew up in Virginia Beach, VA and ultimately settled in Tampa FL, however his home was truly Albuquerque, NM where he and Maria enjoyed many years together. Steven enjoyed sailing, writing science fiction, jazz festivals, and keeping up with global affairs. Steven is preceded in death by his siblings John Dudley and Miriam Atkinson, his mother Helen, and his wife Maria. Steven is survived by his father Steve Dudley of Lecanto, FL as well as his nephew Ryan Atkinson of St. Petersburg FL.
A visitation will be held on June 10, 2022 from 1pm to 3pm, with military honors taking place at 2pm, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home in Tampa, FL, and Steven will ultimately rest at Princess Anne Memorial Park in Virginia Beach.
