Sigrid Valeria Holland passed away at the Melech Hospice House in Tampa Florida on November 12th. She was born on July 14, 1946 in McMinnville, TN to Thompson “Tony” Crowe and Dorothea “Dot” Crowe. She is survived by two brothers, Phillip and Michael Crowe in Tennessee, and two daughters, Marya Wall, Waltham, Massachusetts and Sasha Bergstrasser, Tampa, Florida and two grandchildren, Chelsea Bergstrasser, Spencerport, New York and Zachary Bergstrasser, Tampa, Florida. Sigrid frequently moved, since her military childhood, through her adult life, and has been a member of several churches along the way. Her most current was Bethel Church in Tampa. She was always available for prayer and provided spiritual guidance to many friends and family members. She was a friend and confidant to her adult daughters and to many others including sisters in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins and was known as Aunt Siggy to many. As an avid reader, she was a frequent visitor to the Hillsborough County Library, as she preferred paper books, to electronic. She enjoyed Facebook and keeping up with friends and family. She loved to play Scrabble, the board game, and solitaire on the computer and watching movies. She enjoyed dancing and music of many genres, from Guns and Roses to Eric Clapton to Darlene Zschech and Handel’s Messiah at Christmas, which made her cry of joy every time. Sigrid chose to be cremated and requested her ashes to be spread at Stone Door in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee. Her daughters, Marya and Sasha plan to hold this event this upcoming Spring and should you chose to attend please contact them in order to be notified when the date is set. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make donations on her behalf to Bethel Church http://www.betheltampa.org/index.php/give or to your local church or library. Sigrid touched many lives throughout her 70 years, and will be missed. We thank the merciful Lord for taking her home quickly, with little pain and suffering, and that she was able to say her goodbyes to her daughters and many friends and family before going home. May she now rest in peace.
