Sherry Clouse Kelly

Sherry Clouse Kelly, 73, died peacefully at Memorial Hospital on November 6, 2019. Mrs. Kelly was born on November 18, 1945 in Herrin, IL to Benton and Mildred Clouse. She attended Harry P. Harding High School in Charlotte, NC and graduated in 1964. After graduation, Mrs. Kelly studied nursing at Presbyterian Medical Center for 3 years and left to pursue a career in banking. Mrs. Kelly worked for over 25 years in the trust department of various banking institutions. Mrs. Kelly worked for a short time in insurance where she met her husband Leo Jr. The last ten years of her career Mrs. Kelly worked at Nations Bank of Tampa (now Bank of America) and achieved the title Trust Officer.

She married Leo Kelly, Jr. in Charlotte, NC in 1967. They were married 52 years. She was a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Kelly, Jr. She is survived by her brother, Harold Keith Clouse; son, Leo "Trey" Kelly III; and her daughter, Mahala "Haley" Anne Kelly.

A visitation will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, Friday, November 15, 2019 at 10am. The funeral service will follow at 11am with Deacon Ron Fly from Christ the King Catholic Church officiating. Mrs. Kelly will be laid to rest at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Tampa, FL.
