Sheila is survived by her husband, James R. Cook; children, Samuel Strawn, Stacey Martin, Stephanie Pfaltzgraf, James C. Cook and Richard Cook; grandchildren, Louis Martin, Gretchen Frapwell, Whitney Shaw, Allie Martin, Charles Strawn, Caitlin Cook and James M. Cook; 4 great grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Lou Street.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Sally Morneault, and brother, Richard Street.
Sheila was born on November 15th, 1941 in Lancaster, Ohio to Richard and Mary Street. She graduated from Lancaster High School in 1959. Sheila worked as a realtor and enjoyed home renovation projects.
Sheila was a loving, caring and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved spending time with family. She was most happy when family visited for holidays, monthly birthdays or just stopped by to see her. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, cooking large meals and baking for her family.
She traveled the world, having visited 5 continents. She shared this passion for travel with her family, and frequently took her children and grandchildren on trips. Sheila loved to laugh and would brighten any room. She was also competitive and enjoyed playing bridge, trivia and fantasy football.
Family and friends may visit from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, April 6th at Blount and Curry Funeral Home at 605 S. MacDill Ave., Tampa, FL 33609. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10am on Thursday, April 7th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 S Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33609. A private interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
