Sharon Gail Puglio, quietly and with grace and dignity, passed away on Thursday, January 18th in her home from complications due to Lewy Body Dementia. Born November 9, 1946 in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of General Russ and Helen Corey (dec). Sharon was a dedicated wife, loving mother, lover of animals, black Corvettes, and Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 32 years, Lenny Puglio; sons, Brennen Barkley and Paul Sears; Mark Puglio (stepson); brother, David Corey; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Jake Sherrick; and niece, Kasey (Nate) Siegel. Her furry friends, Maggie May, Amy, Pepe, and Flo will miss her impeccable care and love. Although quiet and unassuming, Sharon was extremely strong and eternally grateful for having survived breast cancer 25 years ago. Her humility and desire to live a simple life are an inspiration to us all. At her request, there will be no service. The family wishes to thank Dr. Rand Altemose, physician and friend, for all that he did for Sharon the last 25 years. The family would also like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at St. Joseph's Hospital who provided comfort and care to her. Those who so desire, may make memorial donations in her name to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
