Sharon Boucher Cowart, 71, of Tampa, died June 23, 2015, after a brief and courageous fight with leukemia. Born in Muskogee, OK, her love of travel began at a young age, as she grew up around the U.S. and in Germany and Japan before graduating from Clearwater High School in Clearwater, FL. A perpetual student, she received degrees from the University of Florida, University of North Florida, St. Petersburg Junior College, and Loyola University- New Orleans (Master's). She cherished teaching "all her girls" at the Academy of the Holy Names, 2001-2013. She loved spending time with her family, sailing, golf, interior design, and travelling. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Harry and Mildred Boucher, sister, Susan Cater, and brother, Harry Boucher, Jr. She is survived by her children, LauraLisa Stamper (Alan), Christina Cowart, and Brian Housel (Kristen), grandchildren, Sarah and Bradley Oliver and Carolina and Aristotle Housel, and ex-husband, Dr. Craig Cowart (Val). All are welcome to join the family for visitation on Friday from 5-7 at Blount & Curry, 605 S. MacDill Ave. in Tampa and Mass at 11 on Saturday at the Chapel at The Academy of the Holy Names, 3319 Bayshore Blvd. in Tampa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Academy of the Holy Names Faculty Scholarship Fund.
