Sam Neal Jr. was born in Rockvale, Tennessee, to Sam Sr. and Clara Bell on March 5, 1930. He went to Possom Trot School. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army Air Corp. He was a mechanic working on the B29 Superfortress in the Army Air Corp as a corporal, a truck driver, farmer, and real estate investor.
He is preceded in death by Sam Sr. and Clara Bell, parents; Linda Campbell, daughter; Ludie McDugald, Willie and Jimmy Neal, siblings; Marian Neal, wife; Charlotte Neal, child; Buddy Reedy, son-in-law; Noah Tuvell and Jake Reedy, grandchildren.
He is survived by Tonya Hypes, fiancé; children Samuel Mark and Sharon Leverett, Dayle Reedy, Kelly and Melody Tuvell, Debbie and Dennis Carmack, Donnie Neal, David Neal, and Donovan McCain; grandchildren Tony and Sky Campbell, Adam and Jessica Campbell, April and Scott Patterson, Dustin and Katelyn Carmack, Kyle and Shelby Carmack, Kelly Reedy and Ted Martin, Casey Donovan, Tommy Donovan Jr., Tony Reedy, Mark ”Hoss” and Christine Leverett, Aaron and Sherry Lohmeyer, Samantha McCormick, David Tuvell, Nathan and Catherine Mutter, Matthew Mutter; 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
