Russell was preceded in death by his father, Russell Brandenburg; and his aunt, Linda Lopez.
He is survived by his partner of 16 years, Justin E. Beyea; his mother, Melody Hale; stepfather, Tom Hale; sister, Holly Hale; step-brothers: Tommy Lee and Travis Michael Hale; aunt, Nancy Bellamy and John Bachar; aunt, Marie Craig; uncle, Michael and Shelley Moore and children; uncle, Jeff and Teresa Moore and children; his person, Cassie (Brandie) Miller; and all of his friends, besties, mean girls, colleagues, fellow nurses, and all of the families he touched and blessed working as a nurse over the past 10 years.
A graduate of Kathleen High School in Lakeland, Russell worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Health Center of Plant City, now, Solaris HealthCare Plant City, before becoming a nurse and working in the emergency department of Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He achieved his Bachelors in Nursing and worked with Vitas Hospice Care before his passing.
The family would also like to thank The techs, nurses, doctors, palliative care and staff at South Florida Baptist Hospital of Plant City and Tampa General Hospital of Tampa for their kindness and caring compassion during his illness. Words cannot express our thanks for your care for Russell and support for us, the family, through this difficult time.
Celebration of Life Service will take place at Blount and Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida, on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. The family will receive friends for visitation at 2:00 p.m. followed by the service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Service and burial in Indiana will be announced at a later date.
