Rose Longo Matassini, 92, Of Tampa, Florida passed away on October 21, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her daughter Jennie Murphy (Hank) and son Joseph Matassini (Donna), Grandchildren Elizabeth Morgan, Louis Murphy (Erin) and Dr. Megan Matassini, Great grandchildren Hayden and Jacob Knight and Anderson and Meredith Murphy.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Louis Matassini (Matassini & Sons Fish Co.) and grandson Dr. Joseph Daniel Matassini.
A Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, Florida 33618 with a mass to follow at 2:00 pm. Entombment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please give to Roses’ favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her memory. The family of Rose wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Kankotia and the angels of St. Joe’s North (3rd Floor south) for their loving care and compassion.
