Roscoe L. Houtchen, 61, passed away December 25, 2021, in Tampa, Fl. He was born in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. He worked as a funeral service coordinator at Blount and Curry Funeral Home MacDill Chapel for over 30 years.
Preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Ben Houtchen; mother, Margaret Ann Bishop- Jarrett; stepfather, Lavern R. Jarrett; brother, Glen Joseph Dowell.
Survived by daughters, Olga S. Houtchen (Tony Campbell) and Nellie Williams; grandsons, Javan Jerom Smith III, Nigel Vixmar Smith, Antwon Owen Smith, and Isaiah Lee Smith; goddaughter, Chanyatta Scurry; father of the grandchildren, Javan Jerom Smith Jr. and his faithful companion dog named Hulk.
Roscoe was a member of Victory Christian Center.
The visitation will be held on January 4, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Following the visitation, service will be held starting at 11:00 am at Blount and Curry Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 West Bearss Ave., Tampa Fl 33618
