Ron was born in Columbus, Georgia on September 22nd, 1947, to Richard and Mary Palmer. In his twenties he moved to Florida where he began a successful career in gas pipefitting. He was promoted to a sales position where he eventually retired from the field. He found his true passion in sales. Ron was a people person and loved to talk, his persuasive personality lent to his skill in selling anything he could find. The majority of his retirement was spent at the local flea market where he made connections with everyone from customers, vendors, and any who wandered by.
If Ron wasn’t at the flea market, you could find him on the tractor making updates to the property he worked so hard for. Ron was a devoted husband, and a beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He was committed to building a home he loved and was proud to share it with his closest family and friends. His happiest moments were spent at the head of the table or in the living room telling his favorite stories and newfound interests. He was known for his verbose and boisterous personality and could spend countless hours talking about any subject. The strength of his character is witnessed in the breadth and love of his extended family who gather to remember him.
He will be profoundly missed by his family, and friends.
