Today marks a sad milestone, our shared loss of an amazing, kind, thoughtful, and lady of incredible grace and dignity…Robin Kennedy. I trust her family is well and that over this last year, while the loss continues to be felt each day, those feeling have also been confirmed with the fondest of memories. For me I hold onto her morning greeting, her care for others and commitment to her interests and passions. Robin was an exemplar of the best of humanity and everyone she met, talked to, taught, mentored and cared for has been made better for the time they spent with her. Robin lives on the hearts of all of those whose lives she touched with her constant, kind presence, loving spirit, and energetic enthusiasm.  She certainly left an indelible mark on the hearts of five Robinsons during our 12 years at Tampa Prep.  For that we are truly blessed and ever grateful.  In this life and beyond, sending love.  

Robin was such a kind and caring soul.  I was continually amazed at her dedication and hard work in making our community and the world a better place.  So intelligent and fun to be with, as well!  It was an honor to have known her.   

This very old picture- check out the color & style of our hair. I took the picture so naturally I was NOT one of the BQ’s in this picture. No children yet. I think I was the only one married at this point. Pictured Suzie Chapman ,Linda Lautzenheiser  & Robin Potter. Photographer,me at the time was Babs Lund Titus.  We were in our early 20’s I believe. Actually, Robin is holding a baby bottle. So she IS married too. her name at this time was Robin Potter Sprinkle. 

Tim and Robin were an amazing couple. I didn’t know Robin very well but heard so many good things about her from Tim over the last few years. 

What I can say from first hand knowledge was that Tim was an amazing husband. Forever loving and caring for her, many of our conversations were of memories of their escapades together. 

To Tim and Family,

Robin Kennedy will be missed and forever remembered by so many, especially those in the Tampa Prep community. Robin's contributions to Prep are legend. From teaching and Development to Alumni Relations, Robin served with dignity, integrity, kindness and the deeps of care for all. Robin single handedly created the Tempo and is the mother of our Alumni Association and network. 

Robin cared for all she met. She defined servant-leader. She continues to be an inspiration to me and for so many. Her smile and laugh filled a room with joy. Her charisma and manner brought comfort and confidence to her students, colleagues and everyone she met. When you were with her, you knew you were in the presence of greatness and person of class, distinction, compassion and a truly gentle and wonderful person.

Tampa Prep would not be the school it is without her significant effort to build the school and the community! Her creativity, inspiration, commitment to go beyond all are evidence that she lived a life with a higher purpose than self.

I, like so many, consider myself truly blessed to have know Robin and to have enjoyed her friendship.

She is missed by all and fondly remembered.

We miss Robin, and are all better for having known her.

To Tim and Family,
Robin was an active member of the Gun Safety Committee for the Hillsborough League of Women Voters. Even through her illness, Robin participated both in meetings and events. She had a passion for gun safety and contributed to our many discussions and plans.
I feel blessed to have known her and will remember our shared time together.


Her Smile would LIGHT up a Room! She was such a BEAUTIFUL Soul - She will be GREATLY Missed!!! LOVE YOU XOXO

Robin made me feel like I was a part of a big, loving community, even though I live a thousand miles away. I’m so glad I met her.

Robin was a special person who for so many years played a critical role in migrating from the old TP School in the old Fair ground stables to the new facility. She was a wonderful person to work with as an Alumni. Her aura at the Gala auctions, the golf tournaments, etc. was a beautiful thing. She organized the first TP Gasparilla Children's Parade with these turtles that we all threw to the kids. It was certainly a first in Tampa parade history.

She will certainly be missed by me.

Tim, my deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Our hearts go out today to Tim and all of Robin and Tim’s children and family. We absolutely loved and admired Robin’s energy and passion for her Catholicism, politics and family. She was a person of hope and determination who personified working for the greater good thru her actions and prayer life. We shall miss her welcoming spirit and generous smile.  Tim and family, you will remain in our prayers as will Robin. We have no doubt of her place in heaven and with God our Heavenly Father.
