Robert Richard Sprinkle Sr.

Bob was born in Tampa, Florida to George (Bob) and Mary Sprinkle on July 17, 1945. He graduated from Hillsborough High School in Tampa in 1963. He married Judith Wray on January 2, 1971 in Tampa. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He worked for a small engineering firm for several years before opening his own firm, Sprinkle Consulting, Inc., which he owned for 39 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army, being awarded the Bronze Star. He retired from the Army after 20 years of service with the rank of major. He was a member of Idlewild Baptist Church for over 25 years and served as a Bible study teacher and deacon. Bob was a man deeply in love with Jesus Christ. He daily strove to serve his Savior and know Him more. Second only to his love for Christ was his love for his family. His greatest joy was to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Mary Sprinkle, and his great-granddaughter, Adeline Duffield.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Judy Sprinkle; his children: Bobby (Wynde) Sprinkle and Christina Hall; his grandchildren: Sarah (David) Duffield, Sophie (Josiah) Daigle, Isabelle Sprinkle, Adah Sprinkle, Jon Robert Sprinkle, Gillian Hall, Ruby Sprinkle, Justin Hall, Olivia Sprinkle, and Jackson Sprinkle; his great-grandchildren: Theodore Duffield, Charlotte Duffield and Rose Daigle; his sister: Sandra (John) Mutolo; his nephews: David (Karisa) Mutolo and Daniel Mutolo, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Emory Bragg, Gary Alford, Bob Stapleton, Pieter Dearolf, Rick Chapman, and Dan Sullivan

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at Idlewild Baptist Church

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Idlewild Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Whitten officiating.

Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 6, 2023 at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Blount & Curry Funeral Home.
