Robert Paul Schwartz, 91, passed away on January 7 2016. He was born in New York City, the son of Julius and Ethyl Schwartz. His sons, Fletcher and Zachary, as well as many friends and family survive him. Bob, as he was widely known, was an alumnus of Clark Preparatory School in Hannover, NH and the University of Florida. He served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army in the Pacific Theater of World War II. He returned home from war to open several pharmacies in the Tampa area. In 1952 he sold his pharmacies, became a stockbroker, and rose to the level of Vice President. He retired with Merrill Lynch after more than 40 years in the business. He was anxiously awaiting the arrival his first granddaughter, Audrey, due later this month. He will be missed. A visitation will be held on Monday January 11, 2016 from 12pm - 1pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave., Tampa.
