Dear Mark:
I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of Riley.  I’m also sorry that I didn’t find out about it until now.   I was a great admirer of his work and often referred to his paintings as “Masterpeaces”, a word your mother thought was very appropriate.   
Even though I never met either one personally there was a definite connection between my family and your folks.   Riley’s many works of art fill the walls of our home and my office.  We are blessed every day to be able to see them and find pleasure in each one.  Maggie’s newsletters and pictures and handcrafted items also still adorn our home, especially at Christmas time.  While I know they are both in good hands, I miss them.  One of Riley’s paintings still has wet oil on it after more than 10 years.  Every now and then I’ll touch it and when I do it reminds me of him and your mom and somehow I feel a little closer to them both. 
I hope you, Russell, Wesley and your family have a great life and will cherish all the memories your talented mom and step dad brought you and know they brought many to others like me and my family.  We were so blessed that they wanted to share them with us.  Thank you for sharing Maggie and Riley with me and my family.  Our world is not the same without them in it,  but they will live forever in our hearts.  

Loved my uncle Andy. He was always part of my life growing up.  I'm  very sorry to hear of his passing.
