Richard L Firn

Richard L. Firn, age 92, of Tampa, peacefully passed away Friday, April 4, 2025. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Blount & Curry at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610. Richard (Dad) was preceded in death by his wife (Gloria Firn), four brothers (Larry, James, Buddy, and Ray) and 2 sons (Robert and David). Richard is survived by his sons (Mike and Kevin), daughter (Elizabeth), four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great, great grandchild who resides in England.

Dad is a Vietnam War Vet who served in the Airforce for over 21 years in charge of supply distributions to field divisions during the war. His hobbies included his bowling league (he enjoyed this each week and was proud of his highest score of 289), yard sales and the market where everyone knew him as “Cowboy!”

Dad made friends with everyone he met. We will miss his sense of humor and ease in connecting with others. He enjoyed many friendships and was always proud of his family.

Dad…we are proud to be your children. We are really going to miss you, Dad. Please take with you our forever love and memories. Rest in peace, knowing that one day, we will all meet again.
