Rene married Maria in Havana, Cuba in 1958 and together they created a family and built a wonder life together. Upon retiring from GTE, he travelled and loved spending his time watching television and working on the computer. Rene enjoyed eating every meal his wife prepared for him. He loved the peacefulness of spending time on the beach.
Rene is survived by Maria, his beloved wife of 66 years, daughters Ana McDonald and Mary Daniels, son-in-law Victor Daniels, his grandson Justin Daniels, spouse Kathleen Daniels, granddaughter Amy Benik, spouse Jon Benik and great-grandson Hunter Daniels. He is also survived by his siblings; Haydee Pereira, Hilda Ramirez, spouse Osiris Ramirez and William Perez.
A 10:00 a.m. graveside service for Rene will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610.
