Regina E Butler, born in Washington DC, passed on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the age of 91 from a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Known to her family and friends as Jean, she is survived by her children with Brad Frapart, Renee Tate of Tampa, Florida, Denise Kilgannon of Orlando, Florida and Neil Frapart of Boca Raton, Florida and her stepchildren, Lawrence and David Butler.
Jean remarried in 1972 to Larry Butler and they were happily married for 51 years, and she was blessed to be the grandmother of 6: David Martin, Briana Frapart, Alex Frapart, Matthew Tate, Zackery Frapart and Blake Butler along with 9 great grandchildren.
It is hard to describe Jean as she had so many fine qualities. She was incredibly wise and generous, beautiful inside and out and a most caring person. Jean enjoyed many interests which included, gardening, playing the piano, drawing with charcoals, playing sports…softball, racquetball, and tennis. She was a wicked bridge player too...and an avid reader. Because of her love of reading, she enjoyed her time working with the Adult Literacy Program and her generous heart found The Helping Hand Food Pantry in Wesley Chapel where she volunteered to help those less fortunate.
During her professional career, she held many prestigious positions working for the US Treasury Department, The Washington Senators and worked for a US Congressman. Jean also was the Executive Assistant to the President of Ringley Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus and to the President of Chloride Inc.
Jean enjoyed many lifetime friendships during her years and was loved and admired by friends and family alike. Jean will be greatly missed but she will always be in the hearts and minds of all those who knew and loved her.
